The 6170+ Single‑Loop Controller is part of the Plus Series and features 3‑point stepping control specifically designed for open‑loop valve motor drive (VMD) applications. Advanced pre‑tune and self‑tuning algorithms simplify setup and significantly reduce output activity, minimizing wear on valves, contactors, and relays. In operation, self‑tuning greatly reduces valve oscillation while achieving faster, more stable control—often reaching setpoint up to three times faster than conventional tuning methods. The 6170+ also supports additional outputs for alarms, 24 VDC transmitter power supply, and process or setpoint retransmission, making it a flexible solution for demanding control environments.
