The 4170+ Single‑Loop Controller is part of the Plus Series and provides 3‑point stepping control specifically designed for open‑loop valve motor drive (VMD) applications. Advanced pre‑tune and self‑tuning algorithms simplify commissioning while significantly reducing output activity. This minimizes wear on mechanical components such as valves, contactors, and relays, while maintaining high‑quality control. In testing, self‑tuning dramatically reduces valve oscillation and allows the system to reach control conditions up to three times faster than conventional tuning methods. Additional configurable outputs support alarms, 24 VDC transmitter power supply, and process or setpoint retransmission, making the 4170+ a flexible and robust solution for valve control systems.
